Jencarlos Canela International star, singer, songwriter actor and Entrepeniur; A true example of dedication, talent and professionalism; Jencarlos began his music career at age 12 with music group “Boom Boom Pop” originally from Miami. Jencarlos Born April 21st 1988 continued his career as a soloist, blessed with a powerful and classically trained yet diverse voice along with his natural ability to act and become one of the most respected and celebrated actors for Latinos around the world, he became a super star.
He is an award winning, multi platinum and diamond recording artist. Billboard confirmed that his debut album was the first time in Latin music history that an independent artist debuts #1 on Billboard. As an actor Canela has been the lead in world renown shows both in English and Spanish for major networks and platforms such as NBC, FOX, ABC, Telemundo, Televisa, Univision and Netflix.
Jencarlos Canela once again broke the mold by becoming the First Latino music artist in history to push the button which activated the 60 second 11,000 pound Waterford Crystal Ball drop for 2015 in New York City’s Time Square; which was his second consecutive year performing inTimes Square (New Year’s Eve). He has a genuine passion for great causes. He became the only Hispanic-American personality to represent the IRC (International Rescue Committee) internationally. Helping others and especially children, is a priority for Canela.
Some of his more recent music accomplishments are "Bajito" which received a plaque for Double diamond, also "Baby" which made it to double Platinum and “Pa Que Me Invitan” which was positioned in the billboard chart as #1 on the lists of Latin albums, earning a double Platinum plaque in Central America and South America.
Jencarlos released another single after that called "Dure, Dure" in collaboration with the international star of Reggaeton, “Don Omar” with a unique rhythm.
In Feb. 2017 a Street was named “Jencarlos Canela Way” inaugurated in recognition of his accomplishments and contributions to his city by the City of Miami and Hialeah; making him the youngest ambassador that the city of Hialeah, Florida has ever recognized.
2019 marked new beginnings in Jen's career with a new direction in his music, as well as new projects as he starred in the new Netflix series The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia. The series was #1 on the top 10 of Netflix in many countries around the world including the U.S. and Brazil. In 2022 He broke into the big motion picture scene with Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson in “Man From Toronto” which is on Netflix.
Jencarlos just recently stepped into the live events business and produced the haunted house experience called “No Way Out Miami” which hosted over 75 thousand people in a 16 day span. He is now bringing a music, food wine and romance festival in 2022 to Amelia Park. He has also enriched his portfolio as an entrepreneur by partnering with the biggest real estate developer in his home town Hialeah. He is spearheading entertainment as partner of Prestige. They currently have over 22 developments across the city and have created thousands of jobs. Bring in concepts to his home town that have never been there before.
